Thompson Freight Services can provide a full warehouse distribution service. This includes a state-of-the art computerised stock control system, logistical warehousing, a pick and pack service and is specially designed to meet the time-critical demands of today’s modern business.
On-Site Storage Facility
We have the ability to receive, handle and store stock at warehouse facilities based centrally in the North East of England. Storage facilities can be arranged on a long or short-term basis and can also include a re-delivery service.
Logistical Warehousing:
Logistics as a business concept evolved in the 1950s due to the increasing complexity of supplying businesses with materials and shipping out products in an increasingly globalised supply chain, leading to a call for experts called supply chain logisticians. Business logistics can be defined as "having the right item in the right quantity at the right time at the right place for the right price in the right condition to the right customer". Our logistics team have the experience and know-how to ensure that we can meet these demanding requirements using such control processes as timed and synchronised deliveries to ensure the clients goods are shipped and received on site at the appropriate time.
Pallet Racking
Pallet racking, is a material handling storage aid system designed to store materials on pallets. Although there are many varieties of pallet racking, all types allow for the storage of palletized materials in horizontal rows with multiple levels.
Our system can store handle pallets up to 1000 kg.

The computerised stock control system has been specially designed to meet the exacting demands of today’s fast-moving goods transportation business and is a robust and reliable solution to ensure that all stock is logged in and out effectively which means that stock can be easily located within our facility or as a despatched item.
Pick and Pack Services.
Pick and pack is a part of a complete supply chain management process that is commonly used in, but not limited to, the retail distribution of goods. It entails processing small to large quantities of product, often truck loads and disassembling them, picking the relevant product for each destination and re-packaging with shipping label affixed and invoice attached.
